Terms of Service Blobtown

1. Introduction

Welcome to Blobtown, a virtual reality game developed by RevelVR INC ("we", "us", or "our"). These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of Blobtown (the "Game") and any related services we provide (collectively, the "Services"). By accessing or using our Services, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree to these Terms, please do not use the Services.

2. Account Creation and Eligibility

  • Age Requirements: You must be at least 10 years old to use our Services. Users under 18 years of age must have parental consent. Meta provides age verification services, and by using the Game, you confirm that you meet the age requirements.

  • Account Security: Your account is tied to your Meta account ID. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account information and for all activities that occur under your account. Do not share your account with others. Notify us immediately at admin@revelvr.com if you suspect any unauthorized use of your account.

3. User Conduct and Community Guidelines

We strive to create a fun and friendly environment for all players. By using our Services, you agree to adhere to our community guidelines:

  • Prohibited Behaviors:

  • Harassment, bullying, or threatening other players.

    • Using hate speech, including racism, sexism, homophobia, transphobia, or any form of bigotry.

    • Cheating, exploiting bugs, or disrupting the gameplay experience for others.

    • Sharing personal information about yourself or others.

    • Impersonating other players, celebrities, government officials, or RevelVR INC employees.

    • Engaging in any illegal activities.

  • User-Generated Content (UGC):

  • Creation: You may create content using the built-in creation tools within the Game.

    • Content Standards: UGC must be appropriate for all ages and must not include offensive or illegal material.

    • Monitoring and Moderation: We use automated tools and third-party services (like GGWP) to monitor and moderate UGC and player interactions. We reserve the right to remove any content that violates our guidelines and to take appropriate action against offending accounts.

4. In-App Purchases and Virtual Currency

  • Blobium: The Game includes a virtual currency called "Blobium," which can be purchased with real money through the Meta Quest platform. Blobium can be used for gameplay enhancements and participating in the player-to-player economy.

  • Purchases: All purchases of Blobium and other digital goods are final and non-refundable unless required by law.

5. Intellectual Property Rights

  • Ownership: All rights, title, and interest in and to the Game and Services are owned by RevelVR INC. This includes but is not limited to graphics, game content, and software.

  • License: We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to access and use the Services for personal, non-commercial purposes, in accordance with these Terms.

  • User Content License: By creating UGC, you grant RevelVR INC a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to use, reproduce, modify, and display your content within the Game and related promotional materials.

6. Data Collection and Privacy

Your privacy is important to us. Please review our Privacy Policy to understand how we collect, use, and protect your personal information.

7. Third-Party Services

The Game utilizes third-party services such as GGWP for moderation. These services have their own privacy policies and terms of service. We are not responsible for the practices of third-party services.

8. Termination and Suspension

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your access to the Services at our sole discretion, without prior notice, for any reason, including but not limited to violations of these Terms or illegal or harmful conduct.

9. Disclaimers and Limitation of Liability

  • Service "As Is": The Services are provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis without warranties of any kind, either express or implied.

  • Limitation of Liability: To the fullest extent permitted by law, RevelVR INC shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising out of or related to your use of the Services.

10. Dispute Resolution and Governing Law

  • Governing Law: These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Oregon, USA, without regard to its conflict of law principles.

  • Arbitration Agreement: Any disputes arising out of or relating to these Terms or the Services will be resolved through binding arbitration conducted in accordance with the rules of the American Arbitration Association. The arbitration will take place in Oregon unless otherwise agreed upon.

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify you of any significant changes by posting the new Terms within the Game and updating the "Last Updated" date at the top of these Terms. Your continued use of the Services after such changes constitutes your acceptance of the new Terms.
